Poker Players

Currently recruiting poker players to play NL Hold ’em in the U.S. National Poker League™ (NPL) for Season #2 which will take place in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. The format will be 4-tables of Sit-N-Go NL Hold ’em Freezeout tournaments.

There will be four regular season tournaments plus a fifth Championship event. Each freezeout is designed to last no more than three hours. Check the Format tab for additional details regarding the first season.

There is no monetary cost to poker players for tournament entry. Cash prizes are awarded to both the top individual player and to the winning team along with the NPL Championship trophy. You will have the ability to show off your skills and personality, as games will be recorded and subsequently streamed online.

To apply for a spot to play in the NPL, see the Player Requirements and follow the application instructions below. Players from anywhere in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, as the League is open across the United States.

Player Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to participate as a Player in the NPL
  • Must be available in/around the Lehigh Valley, PA area for 5 consecutive Saturday’s for approximately three hours of play
  • Must know how to play NL Hold ’em and be familiar with NL Hold ’em tournament play
  • Understand and be willing to adhere to any requirements from players’ respective team owner
  • Follow league rules including respectful behavior to other players, dealers and staff
  • Players will be required to wear team attire, i.e., a league approved shirt provided by the team owner
  • Willing to be recorded for eventual online streaming
  • Willing to be interviewed for the stream
  • Players cannot also be a team Owner in the league

    • Include experience and/or bio as to why you should be be drafted to play in the league
      • To include a list of credentials, related to poker i.e., what limit(s)/cash games/tournaments/how many months/years you have been playing, etc.
    • Indicate preference for Saturday afternoon or Saturday evening tournament
